Although many of Hawaii islands beaches are not the long stretches of white sand that seem to meander along the coastline forever, we do have over 80 beaches to explore. Many of our beaches are tucked away gems that require an adventurous spirit and maybe even a four wheel drive vehicle. All of our Koa Realty agents value life in Hawaii due to the beaches. It seems like on any given day off if you find yourself with chores done, and responsibiliites met, there is an adventure awaiting you at all of the beach parks.
Kailua-Kona and along the gold coast of South Kohala you will find the most easy access white sand beaches that resemble those found on Maui, Kauai, and Oahu. However, even some of these such as Makalaweana are accessible only by foot or four wheel drive.
When driving around the island in search of a place to take a dip or sit and enjoy the serenity of the waves you may want to do a little research before heading out for the adventure.
