images-13Hitting the local papers to get caught up on community news, local happenings and events can sometimes be most useful when wanting to get a flavor of what is important and prominent to  us Big Islander’s.
Instead of leaving the search and questions up to you as to what papers are the “local” press, we have provided these links for you to easily access the black and white that is READ all over our island!  You can also pick up these local news distributions at any newspaper box along with at most service stations and grocery stores if you prefer the feeling of paper between your fingers!

Hawaii Tribune Herald Serves the Eastern side of the island.

Big Island Weekly is the local free press magazine that often times spotlights local happenings, hangouts and hot spots.
