North Hilo

The area of North Hilo is dominated by larger agricultural parcels, beautiful ocean views, Waterfalls, deep soil and a rich history.   The North Hilo area offers residents a quiet lifestyle and the opportunity to partake in the farming and ranching lifestyle which the areas history is woven of, or one can simply purchase a parcel of land  to enjoy the pleasures of solitude.  With properties that behold stream frontage and private waterfalls the North Hilo area is not to be forgotten.  Due to there being no recent lava flows that have covered this part of the island of Hawaii, the soil is deep and rich with nutrients that in years of past made this a desirable area of the operations of sugar cane production.  As one drives through the side roads and back roads, it can almost be visualized as to how the land was covered in the crop of sugar cane and worked agriculturally.  With cane roads running through these large tracts of land the stories read about in the history books begin to become alive.
