Nanawale Estates
Nanawale Estates is located in the district of Puna on the South East side of the island just a few minutes out side of the town of Pahoa on Hwy 137 near Lava Tree State Park. The area is lush with vegetation. The flora is comprised of mostly young Ohia, Albezia and several varieties of fern. There are 3,440 Home sites that consist of a size of 8,040 sq ft on average. The main roads in Nanawale Estates are paved and all other side roads are cinder and are maintained by the association. There is overhead electricity and the water source is catchment water. There is an active association with CC&R’s that govern minimum size of home, the use of septic tanks over cesspools, along with other specific rules and regulations. The annual association dues are approximately $80.00. Nanawale Estates is located in the lower Puna area and is in Lava Hazard Zone 2.
